New members may now register for the 2025-26 season! Our annual Free Tryout Day is scheduled for August 2nd (Saturday) from 10am to 12pm. If you've missed Free Tryout Day, we'll accept requests on a rolling basis to try out during regularly scheduled practice, based upon team openings. Inquiries may be emailed to our new member liaison at [email protected].

July is summer break and there will be no practices. The new season will begin in August. 

New Swimmers - Sharks & Mermaids and Recreational

Before you register, we need to make sure your swimmer has the skills necessary to begin. Please email [email protected] to schedule a FREE tryout class or if you have any questions.

If your swimmer completed a tryout and was approved by a coach to join, please CLICK HERE to register for the Sharks and Mermaids or Recreational team.

Returning Swimmers - Competitive Team Athletes

Returning competitive team athletes and those approved to register for a competitive team (12U and up) may now do so for the new season running August 11th through June 30th, CLICK HERE. 

USA Artistic Swimming Registration

You MUST also register with USA Artistic Swimming annually. Registration begins September 1st (do not register prior to this date) and expires August 31st of the following year. In the registration process, Sharks/Mermaids and Rec swimmers will choose "Athlete Member", and all competitive team swimmers will choose "Competitive Athlete Member", "West Zone," and club "Nevada Desert Mermaids". This Registration is independent from the team registration and it provides insurance benefits while your child is participating in the sport.
